Brunei's Putri Norizah and Ash Farizi are two of the 36 musicians featured in it. Other representatives include youtube users from Indonesia, Australia, Italy, Singapore and the United States.

"Idolaku is my last show, hope u enjoy it guys.." - This was, indeed, a shocking statement revealed by the actress herself via a social networking site a few days ago.

Mell Mazelan, an RTB Awards nominee, had decided to reject all acting offers as she will be venturing into a business career in Kuala Lumpur very soon. Hikaya-Tapakuda had the chance to interview this beautiful actress before she bid goodbye to Brunei.

She revealed that her career in the country began with an offer for a part in a TV sitcom after graduating from UiTM - interestingly, without any intention of making it big. But, that role had contributed to innumerable more offers from local and regional producers. Since then, she had hosted a plentiful TV programmes and acted in countless dramas in Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore.

2009 marked another significant year for this starlet as she was offered a role in a Malaysian based film, Momok The Movie.

Nevertheless, she agreed that her most successful appearance was, undoubtedly her part in the Seharum Ramadan series last year. Unfortunately however, she disclosed in the interview that she had to turn down the offer for the next season this year.

Maria launches latest single in Singapore

After being recognized as the 'Artiste of The Year' for 2010, Maria Aires is back with her latest single - yet, again another twist from her usual genre. 'Cintaku', an original composition by Lily Chiam was first premiered during the recent RTB Awards. And yesterday, the balad was released and exclusively aired on Pelangi FM and Kristal FM.

Aires was in Singapore last Sunday for the launching of another single. "Biar Sampai Akhir' is a collaboration with Merah, the city state's local band. They were first seen performing in the same event in Singapore last year.

D'hask has released their latest music video last week. Despite receiving several discouraging feedbacks, the video (which features Marilyn Manson, Bai Ling and Jojo) is expected to be aired on Malaysian TV before June of this year.

The band will be in Kuala Lumpur this month to promote their "Kamu, Adalah Mimpi Buruk Ku" debut single.

The music video for Eqah's debute single, "If It Isn't With You" instantly became the centre of attention following its release on YouTube recently. This masterpiece by directors: Amit and Naroop was shot in LA last month with a special appearance by a Step Up 3D star, Rick Malambri throughout the video.

On the other hand, the song itself was a hit last year. The publication of the song had enabled the singer to be bestowed with a nomination in the CoolTones Awards.

Despite her lost against Maria Aires in the event and as a newcomer to the local music scene, she should be accredited for being able to stand on par with other established female artistes in Brunei.

This up and rising artiste shall fly further up as she will also be publishing her next single entitled, "I Don't Wear Pink Lipstick" this year.

Besides revealing photographs from the video shoot, the site also features the music video at the HikayaTapakuda playlist (on the right column) - which, in addition, links to her music video on YouTube.

Adam discloses secrets behind the making of BREAK

"BREAK is a rebound and a confession of my past," Adam revealed when asked about his latest masterpiece. He was determined to create his first action short film as soon as he realized that the recommencement of the production of his previous show was just a waste of time.

Instead, he began to fabricate a storyboard that reminisces his school life experience. He said, the idea was to divert to a different genre - just to know the response of the viewers and surprisingly, the rejoinder was rather motivating!

With more than 16 000 views on YouTube for the debut episode alone, BREAK is slowly blooming to be his most successful series ever. Interestingly, despite the delay of the publication of episode 2.1, the fans are still eagerly waiting for the next part.

Being the first Bruneian band to be featured on MTV Asia and had a cameo appearance by Pamela Anderson in their music video should have dropped the jaws of many. However, this was just the beginning of bigger surprises that has yet to be unearthed!

To battle against hottest gigs in the region, D'hask is making another eloquent step in their journey towards becoming the best. Hence, collaborating with the finest from music industry is hoped to unlock-open countless doors of opportunities for the band.

In January, the band will spread their wings to Malaysia for the official release and publication of their debut single, "Kamu, Adalah Mimpi Buruk Ku". Although the actual promotion of the song has yet to begin, works on their second single "Tempat Ku" - a ballad produced by a well-known Malaysian producer, Ramli MS - has reached the final stage.

The filming of the music video for the ballad has just completed which features appearances by huge names from the entertainment scene: Marilyn Manson, Jojo and Bai Ling. Nevertheless, the official release date is still kept secret.

Eqah doesn't wear pink lipstick!

"I don't wear pink lipstick", she sings in Deni Lew and Matt Thompson's latest masterpiece. The lyrics and music composition of this fresh new single is rather 'less aggressively'-themed in comparison with her previous song, If It Isn't With You.

Not that the former is inappropriate for local music lovers, but having the song to be 'chick flicks'-flavoured, heightens its possibility to be favoured by women in majority. Nevertheless, the catchy chorus and upbeat tempo might still captivate the hearts of any listeners.

According to her publicity team, the single was recorded in August of this year and shall probably be released to local radio stations in December. The music video for "If It Isn't With You", on the other hand, is expected to be out in January 2011.

The pop-princess had also told the COPYCAT magazine that she was ecstatic to have her very first single to be a top 3 hit in Pelangi FM. It is certainly a wonderful start to her career in the music industry.

Alif Amsyar , more commonly known as DJ Alif, is no stranger to the music scene although not being a composer or a vocalist. But, as a presenter on one of the most listened to radio stations in Brunei, he scaled up the fame ladder further with the introduction of Carta Kitani (or Our Chart) - a weekly radio segment founded by him.

Today, with new artistes mushrooming from various singing competitions and gigs, Carta Kitani has proven to be one of the vital pull-factor to the rapid development of the local music scene. Song requests made by the listeners throughout the week are the ones responsible to nominate or eliminate songs in the chart. This suggests that the chart grants and escalates the reputation of the songs, artistes, composers and lyricists or vice-versa. Subsequently, it shows how well accepted the songs are to the general mass.

Big Names - This November!

Those who have always been anticipating latest singles by our talented artistes must have listened to the numerous newly released songs in radio stations nation wide for the past few months.

And one song that had definitely stolen the lime light was undoubtedly a song by Maria Aires, 21. She is unquestionably one of the most celebrated singers in Brunei. 'Kini Berakhir Sudah', her latest bid in the local music scene, was very well received by the listeners.

The song was in Pelangi FM's Kitani Chart (Carta Kitani) for 13 weeks and 5 consecutive weeks at number one!

Sadly, however, the song was kicked out of the chart last month (though there is still possibility of being re-listed back in, since it depends on the requests made by the listeners). Or perhaps, shall its position be replaced by any of the new singles by competitors: Putri Norizah, Hill Zaini and Zul F, released earlier this week? We'll never know. Interestingly, all three singles represent three different genres!

Adding tension to the song's 'fate', the recently released singles have already received positive comments from local music fans.

Putri Norizah, 19, is also trying another significant attempt of her own as well. She is a singer - well known for her versatility; has songs that varies from traditional Malay genres to balads as well as other pop and contemporary music. And now, 'TQ & GOOD-BYE' shall also divert this songbird from her comfort zone.

An interview with the singer, herself, was almost impossible as she was (at that time) in a hectic phase of preparing for a cultural programme (37th SSEAYP). Her manager, instead, revealed that the song was recorded a week before her departure to Japan.

'TQ & GOOD-BYE' was composed by G-Fad with the help of Alif Amsyar for the lyrics. The song was released on Pelangi FM last Monday at 5pm.

Hill Zaini's 'Once Around The Sun' cover of Caprice Bourret's 1999 single was also released on the same day. Distinctions can instantly be noticed in terms of the music arrangements - in comparison with the original version of the song.

Albeit being recently introduced to the music scene, he has added a more vibrant 'colour' to it based on the success of his first two singles under Sensible Music label: Stay In The Middle (feat. Samantha Mumba) and I Heard as well as being recognized as the winner for the Best Male category in the recent Cool-Tones Awards

Zul F is another well known figure in the music scene. Just like Hill, he was also a contestant of the same reality TV programme. The singer is currently Pelangi's Artiste of The Month which should be an ideal time to release a single. 'This Feeling' was first aired in PelangiFM last Tuesday and is also listed in HikayaTapakuda's music playlist (from a fan-made video on YouTube).

Katok Sixth Form Centre had a recently organized a Hari Raya Celebration. This year's event adopted a massive 'open school' concept which took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall and at the canteen where a wide range of mouth-watering refreshments jointly brought by students were neatly arranged on tables. The event started after recess with a gathering at the MPH.

Veteran Celebrity Passes Away

After being bombed with the Zek-Phenomena in August, a phenomena that had brought fame to a young man via a video sharing website, another shocking news assailed the nation's entertainment scene last week.

According to The Brunei Times, the body of a local veteran star, Rais Banih, was found at Jerudong beach after a four day search.

The actor, who was famously known as Liau Badar, was reportedly missing Sunday morning after his capsized boat was found floating near the beach.

Security guards from the Jerudong Polo and Country Club assisted the police in keeping the crowd at bay. The deceased was immediately taken to the RIPAS Hospital to determine the cause of death.

Meet the KatakIjau ladies at the Mall!

Numerous booths have been set up at The Mall, Gadong. One may not be able to resist the temptation of the countless exciting games offered at the KatakIjau booth! Sandwiched in between two escalators, it is a haven for thrill, indeed.

Farzanah Majid(R), one of the volunteers stated that the booth shall be entertaining its visitors until this Sunday. Lots of fun games have been set for you.

Interestingly, games such as Dart; ball-oriented games; mini bouncer; up to cartoon characters like Upin & Upin are all engaged with the KatakIjau theme (which literally translates, 'GreenFrog'). HAHA!

So, datangtah beramai-ramai! Bawa sekampung, lagi baik. X)

7 - A must watch short film!

I was having my sweeeeeet sweeeet time watching videos on YouTube and discovered 7! This 'Made in Brunei' thriller short film was uploaded last year (July 14th) and yes, I've just found it a moment ago.

To summarize the whole storyline, it depicts a victim of a serial killer who murders on every 7th day of the month.

Spend time watching it but be sure to switch off the lights and have the volume increased just so you won't be distracted.

The BSB Planning Information Centre is inviting more visitors (esp. students) to gain knowledge about the current progress of the BSB Masterplan. A massive model showcasing a proposed design for BSB (along with other associated exhibition) is on display at the centre - which will be opened this week (from 9 am to 5 pm) - at Bangunan Pusat Komersial & Perdagangan Bumiputra.

According to the BSB Masterplan's tweet, they have welcomed students from JIS, MS, SOASC, Vocational, MD and SMMH.

Eqah goes global!

Eqah (20); a contestant of Brunei's number 1 reality show. Though her journey in the 3rd season of P2F ended before she could even make her steps into the finals, that did not pull her down! She will bounced back into the music scene with her sizzling debut single, "If It Isn't With You" which was recorded last June in the UK.

The preview of the song is available on channelEQAH on YouTube. It is also made available on HikayaTapakuda in the 'Laguku' gadget.

Just a few hours ago, Adi Rani - a local composer; producer; founder of Projectunes Records, released the latest masterpiece by the label on Facebook and trust me, the feedback wasn't disappointing at all!

Ayte, I know Khairy may not be one of the familiar faces in the current local music scene. Tell you what, this long-gone singer was engaged with a Malaysian recording company and gave birth to an album a few years ago. He's now back adding colours to the Bruscene with his latest single - Hanya Kamu feat. Dinda *you're listening to it right now*.

Hanya Kamu was composed by Adi Rani who also collaborated with Nafee in producing the single. Where as the lyrics were written by the singer himself. According to the Projectunes Records' website, the single was released on the 7th at 5pm by Pelangi.fm. I had definitely missed it. haha

This is bizarre. I think I have been cursed! I attended 2 events this week: Friday - Album launching and Saturday - P2F Final Concert. And tell you what, strangely for those 2 occasions, I was being so ill-starred!

Okay, remember what happened last Friday? My camera ran out of batt. Well, it's a good thing though. At least it reminded me to charge my camera so that the 'fated' occurrence will not happen again. Unfortunately enough, during the Finals of P2F, I still did not manage to take anything! So, what now?

Battery? Sufficient.

Flash batt? Excellent.

Memory card? Great~ at home.

So, due to that misfortune, I had to 'borrow' someone else's photos instead.

Hoelah fellas! Went to Gadong yesterday. It was dayyumn packed - well, sort of. haha

Anyways, I was there with hundreds of other local music fans to witness the launching of Rentak 914 album. I brought my DSLR along, as usual. Planned to take photos of the event to be uploaded to this blog.

As I got there, I did realize that I was left with only one bar of batt in my camera but I didn't bother much - hoping that I it would be enough for a few more clicks before I run out of it.

Didn't get the best view as I was watching from the second floor but after a few colourful performances, I decided to take a couple of pics from up close. But hey, my prediction of being able to capture not-so-much-number of photographs came into reality. But I did not expect it to be too little! With just one click, I ran out of batt. Great~

Was only able to capture one low quality photo of Adi Rani busily preparing his gear before his performance (pic above). Ow maaahn~ I'm going to the JPCC Amphitheatre this evening for P2F's Final Concert. Hopefully those unconventional occurrence will not happen again. hahaha!

Hey fellas! It's been more than a month since I last updated this blog. My tests are over... I'm back gaining momentum with my studies and now; with blogging. Friends have been complaining about this long-abandoned blog but hey, no worries. haha

I didn't know what to post about. It feels just like my very first ever. I guess, this is what you get for neglecting your blog for too long huh~ I'm just gonna make this short and simple. Smiling Vietnam Part 2

Chào buổi chiều! (Good Afternoon!) I didn't learn that phrase from Vietnam BTW. Got it somewhere from the internet. I just hope that's the correct translation. LMFAO! Anyhow, have you thought of an answer to the question I asked on my previous post? Yknow... About how many passengers can a bike carry at a time? And your guesses must be somewhere around 2/3 passengers? =P But, imagine this, 5 freaking people in one go! I'm serious! =,= I'll say, Vietnamese are so extreme when it comes to the usage of motorcycles.

We departed from the cathedral and proceeded to the Reunification Palace. Entry fees will be charged if you wish to enter. But as there were lots of people wanting to get in at that time, we decided to just take photos outside - near the gate. haha =D

Sometimes, it's really hard to communicate with the locals as they don't speak English very well. Yes, they do. But, not that much. However, some do speak the language fluently though. And amazingly enough, we also came across people who speak Malay! Especially, in Bến Thành Market. 0_= But, just the basics pulang. Like, 'Abang' and 'Mulah' (murah) Tehee.

Sign language is very important in Vietnam if you don't speak Vietnamese. =P *sekadar*

Whenever I look at this picture, I tend to imagine him saying, "Laku jualanku nyamu!" LMFAO!

Smiling Vietnam Part 1

I'm back! We arrived in bustling Ho Chi Minh City at night. As I said in my previous post, Ho Chi Minh City was a total opposite of Brunei. And here's reason no 1: If in Brunei, we're used to having the driver seated on the right, but here, the driver was seated on the left! It took us quite sometime to get used to it. And there were some embarrassing moments. Or should I say, multiples of humiliating happenings. LOL! Balik-balik salah masuk pintu. =,= However, that was not it. The road pun TEBALIK!

The next day, we spent time visiting some places in the city. Notre Dame Cathedral was our first.

A couple having their wedding photo-shoot near the area. I was pretty amazed to see how daring these newly-weds can be just to have their once-in-a-lifetime photo together. Believe it or not, there was one couple posing on the road. YES! On the busy, bikes-crammed road! Gilerrr~

Ow yea, talking about motorbikes, I think I should ask you this, by how many passengers do you think a bike can be ridden at a time? You'd be surprised with my answer. =P

Xin chào fellas! Just got home from Vietnam last night. So, how was the visit? It was... fun, WEIRD, touching and a very exciting one! Haha An open-minder for Bruneians, I must say. Seriously, it (particularly Ho Chi Minh City) was, without doubt, a total contrast with BSB. I'll be posting the pics soon - not until I have my homework finished before school re-opens this Monday.

Another holiday? No way! = =" We've just started school a few days ago and the holidays are back! Mahn~ Balum lagi puas skulah, but then some of my friends have been craving for halidays and I bet kesiukantah durang ni. haha! Anyway, as yesterday was our last day of school for this term, the Adventure Club of PTEK had organized various activities for us, the juniors. It was SIUK!

We were divided into groups.

My group and I, 'listening' to the explaination from Ms Atiqah. As soon as she was gone, we were like, "Uhhh, what?" *peace* ahaha

There were quite a number of games organized by the AJK yesterday. This is one of them. Each group were instructed to go over the rope without touching it! Haha

Ayte, this one was hell funny! She was asked do this while saying something. I'm not quite sure what it was though. But hey, it's hilarious! LMFAO

Okay, the loosing team are, of course, not going home empty handed. Their faces were cincai-ed! haha ...with a lipstick.

Malaysia Showcase 2010

A THREE-DAY exhibition is now held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. Starting from today onwards, March 5th till Sunday, March 7th from 10am-10pm.

And guess what, the popular Malaysian animated 3-D characters, Upin & Ipin will make an appearance tomorrow! And according to Brunei.fm , "the twins will perform on stage during the exhibition".

Malaysia's famous celebrity designer, Eric Leong as well as Hazami, a popular Malaysian singer will also be there!

And as for the Formula 1 fans in Brunei, tickets for the 2010 Malaysian Grand Prix is available at the Tourism Malaysia booth during the showcase.

Just a few hours from now, I'll officially be a 6th Form student. I'm going to college tomorrow people! haha

Looking at the time, I know I should be on my bed, forcing myself to sleep by now but what the heck am I doing? Too excited, I guess. LOL!

Today was a tiring day for myself and I'm sure it was as well for my fellow friends and future schoolmates as it was our last chance to have everything prepared for tomorrow. It seemed like everyone was talking about it today.

And the question for the day??? "What's your BE (Tutor Group)?"

I even had this written as my status on Facebook. Haha! But, this is not what I was and AM stressing about. It's about the uniform. At first, I had decided to wear my previous school's school uniform to the centre. However, I was surprised to hear that ALL, well majority (maybe), of my ex-schoolmates who'll also be my future schoolmates are not wearing SMS's school uniform! I thought, "Mahn, I don't want to be the only one wearing it while non of my friends are!"

I began to panic. Started asking questions to the seniors & my friends...

What should we be wearing tomorrow?

What's the colour of the trousers of PTEK's uniform?

Is it Black or Dark Blue?

Who else amongst my ex-schoolmates are wearing the previous school uniform?

It was just chaotic. What should I wear tomorrow? To tell you the truth, I still haven't fully decide my choice yet. Haha! Will I be wearing a white top and black trousers (not sure if it's the right uniform) or just my previous school uniform (last worn - end of November, Graduation Day)? This is mad!

I think I should stop now before I start panicking again. LOL I've to have my rest. Long day tomorrow. PTE Katok, here I come!!!.....? =P

Negaraku Brunei Darussalam Part 1

SALAM! Here I am again. X) Okay, yesterday's occasion was tiring. Especially to those who have participated in the event itself and not forgetting the people who have helped to make yesterday's ceremony a simple - compared to the previous years' - yet momentous.

I'll be posting the pics in two parts. Just to slow things down...for no reason. :P I'd also like to dedicate these two posts to my friends and relatives who are now abroad and were not able to witness this year's National Day celebration. Ayte guys, these are for you. 0_=

It was drizzling. Sajuk. But, I liked it. *laugh* It would've been worse if the weather was the opposite, kan? My camera was wet of course. But that didn't matter much. It all went smoothly. And I'm pretty sure the participants were enjoying the weather just like I did when I took part at the same event two years ago.

Awang Haji Muhammad Khairul Bahrin Haji Duraman (above pic) , a gold-medalist for Pencak Silat at the previous SEA Games in Laos, led the 'Ikrar' or the pledge reading this year.

Also joining the group was Brunei's Polar Girl, Dk. Najibah Eradah binti Pg. Ahmad Mahmud Al-Sufri (4th from left / 3rd from left excluding the guy) , the first Bruneian to reach South Pole!

HRH Pengiran Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah also took part at the march pass.

Greetings earthlings! Okay, that's..... nevermind. Haha! I have posted something about Hill's Music Video Premiere previously, haven't I? Now, here comes 'the report'. X) The evening started with well-known local and international artistes ( whose names and pictures are ,unfortunately, not to be uploaded here) walking down the red carpet in the Empire Hotel & Country Club's Theatre. With 'Hollywood Glam' as the chosen theme, it was glamourous, indeed!

Wu Chun says NO to romance

Wu Chun is now back with his latest appearance in the big screen! Here, in the country, for a Chinese New Year break, Wu says his role in the the new movie (14 Blades) is rather different to what his previous characters had to offer and also, it was the first time for him to be involved in a big-scale production such as this.

He also said to the Brunei Times that according to the China box office, sales have been excellent - hitting $11 million in just five days! He had also planned to donate part of the ticket sales to charity.

Talking about his Fitness Zone, the newest branch in Serusop is expected to be opened by the middle of the year. This branch will be similar as the one in Kiulap but with no basketball court and features a different atmosphere and environment. In addition, the famous actor hopes to open a branch overseas and is looking at China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

I have embed the trailer of his latest film - 14 Blades in which he played the 'baddie-role'. This hints NO romantic scenes for him (in the movie). And after watching the trailer, I'm very looking forward to watching it.

Putri talks about love!

I have just listened to Putri Norizah's latest single last Saturday afternoon and decided to blog about it. Arranged an online-interview with Putri, and the interview went smoothly!

The song entitled, "I Love You", was FULLY-composed by Hans Anwar. From the melodies, musical arrangements to the lyrics; were done by the man himself. Recorded in the Phuturephase Productions' studio three weeks ago, of which - according to her was recorded before the RTB Awards, the song has now been distributed to radio stations nation wide.

Ayte, here's the FUN PART about the interview. =P I took the chance to ask her about loads of things.

What was her worst criticism ever received as an artiste?

"I think it was few years back la, ada some people can't except that me being an artiste wearing Tudong so they talked about me and they said that I'm wearing tudong just for the sake of singing and image.."

She also defended herself by stating that she has been wearing Tudong or head scarf ever since she was still 3 months old!

When asked about ALIF, Ba, Ta.. Here's what she said, "I don't wish to elaborate more lah.. so yeah :P LOL." Now, this does make us wonder whether there is truth behind the story...or not, right? haha

Yes, it was a great show I should agree. The crowed was d*mn awesome. I would call it a mini-concert rather than a gig though. haha But where was Iza Hazirah?

I'm sure that I'm not the only one surprised to know that Iza's appearance at A Band Once's JP Mini-Amphitheatre Gig was cancelled. Faizul, ABO's vocalist made the announcement earlier during the show. At first, I thought it was just a gimmick for the public - just to heat up the show. But, somehow the prediction wasn't true after all. I've also heard about a band called Delora - invited to perform as well that night.

So, what actually happened?

I'm not quite sure what exactly happened or how it happened. However, based from what I was told it was due to some misunderstanding between the JP Management and A Band Once itself during the sound-check session. And in the end, Iza wasn't allowed to perform. Poor Iza. Despite the controversial no-show for her, she was present! I don't know how true this 'rumour' is, but it was a great show. The crowed was AWESOME! ABO rocks! haha

Fly with Feez this February

Feez Madea has been chosen to be Pelangi's Artiste of the Month for February 2010. This would be her second time to be chosen as the radio's Artiste of the Month. The first time was in 2007.

Feez, who's now at the age of 22, was the champion of Pilihan-Akira Talentime back in 2005. She also represented Brunei as Miss Brunei to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam for the ASEAN Beauties 'Global Flower Girls 2009' and was part of the Thailand Music Festival in Bangkok - for King Bumiphul in 2006.

Last year, she also participated for the Sounds of Hope charity concert which was aimed to raise money for the country's poverty-stricken citizens and performed at the Micbandits' "It's A Wrap" event.

As one of the top Bruneian acts on the frontlines of a fast-growing music scene, she has been nominated by the Pelangi Awards in the Chosen Female Category 08-09 and a nomination in the Popular Singer Award at the RTB Awards. 2009 also saw Feez's special finale performance in the Artly Designs fashion show.

Furthermore, as what I've written in my previous post, she as well as some other local artistes have made the nation proud by bringing home a Voice Independant Music Award from Kuala Lumpur for her song "Fly". The song was officially named the Best Song of 2009 by Pelangi fm.

Guess what, she - who is now under Leiley's Production House - is back with a new single, "Never Leave Me"; with lyrics written by Aiden Adams and co-produced with Micbandits.

" 'Never Leave Me is actually dedicated to all my fans, who have been wanting to hear my latest work - Cheers!" - she said to Borneo Bulletin.

The 9th RTB Awards were glamourously held at the International Convention Centre with local and regional celebrities were spotted to be in attendance. Carrying Transisi 60-an (or the 60's Transition) as the theme for the night, it had received several controversial comments, instead!

Who says we Bruneians don't have talents?

A standing ovation should be given to our local artistes who have brought back numerous recognitions from the previous Voice Independant Music Awards (VIMA) 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.

Adi Rani won the Best Pop Vocalist Award. His single Sudah (Enough) was also nominated in the Best Song category.

Best Pop Song category winnersrom left: Amanda Imani (Bronze), Prema Yin (Gold) and our Feez Madea (Silver) with her latest hit, Fly. However, according to the statement made on projectunes.com, Feez Madea will be continuing her journey without us (the Projectunes).

Besides Adi and Feez, Juju, NJ and Sam Siren of Karacoma were also nominated. MNC, L One, I Mean the Snakes, Karacoma, MAGABU and the White Shoes as well as D’Hask were some of our representatives for the group categories.

RTB Awards....Mell Mazelan

Mell Mazelan, one of the nominies for the up coming RTB Awards which will be held at the International Convention Center end of this month. This young actress who had just married recently has been actively involved with the local and regional entertainment scene. As a multi-telented artist, she had acted and hosted many shows for various MOU events with neighbouring countries such as Malaysia & Singapore. She had also made her first appearance in a Malaysian horror movie last year.

A few days ago, she was interviewed at a local TV Station with other artists who have been nominated in the same category. From what I have heard, she will be the host for the award that night and not DJ Aliff. Is this true? Well, let us just wish all the best to this young multi-talented starlet! Vote for her! haha

This years RTB Award will be held on the 30th of January in Berakas. So, don’t forget to witness you favourite artists live on RTB 2!

It has been a while since I last updated my blog. I'm terribly sorry for that. haha I've been busy with schoolworks (yearrrriiigghht~) etc. But hey~ It's still Raya! I still have that raya mood in me. C'mon, here in Brunei, we celebrate raya for the whole Syawal kan? So, I guess it's not wrong to still think about raya. Except when your exams are just within less than 1 more week. Hmm..

I had received many Open House Invitations last week & I'd like to apologize for not attending most of them. Banyyaaaaaaaakkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anw, I still don't have any pics to upload here.. Hmmm I haven't been able to edit any of the raya pics! Plus, my exams are just around the corner, yet, I'm still not well prepared for it! Great~

So, don't be surprised guys if this blog will be inactive for another one whole month. huhu I'll surely update it with pics of this year's Raya Celebration of which I think would be 'expired' by the time I upload them after my O level exams which is next month. ahaha

I went to watch a charity gala night at JPCC Amphitheatre yesterday. This concert was organized to help the families in poverty in Brunei. It was siokk!!!!!!!!!! Seriously. I have to admit. ahahah! Sounds of Hope.

Ow yeah~ Before I forget. Have you guys heard Feez Madea's latest single 'FLY'? If you haven't, then you should! The best local song so far I guess. Phewh~ Diff. from Feez's other singles. I've embed the song here. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it as my background music. 0_=
